Requirements

Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go is required, alongside experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools like Terraform or Ansible, and a working knowledge of Git and CI/CD tools.

Responsibilities

The Platform Engineer (Kafka Specialist) will provide tech leadership and operations for Apache Kafka, ensuring the deployment, management, and smooth operation of highly available Kafka infrastructure, both self-hosted and in AWS MSK environments. They will implement and maintain monitoring and alerting for Kafka, conduct performance tuning and instrumentation of Kafka clusters and pipelines, partner with application teams to guide Kafka topic design and best practices, contribute to the development of scalable data pipelines, and automate infrastructure and operations workflows using infrastructure-as-code tools.
