Requirements

Candidates should have at least 5 years of professional experience in data or software engineering, with a minimum of 3 years focused on streaming or distributed systems. Deep experience with Kafka or similar streaming platforms, hands-on experience with Flink, Debezium, or other stream processing technologies, and a strong understanding of distributed systems concepts are required. Proficiency in Java, Scala, or Python is necessary, with Ruby experience being a plus. Familiarity with data modeling, downstream analytics environments, and data quality/validation/monitoring techniques is also beneficial. Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

The Senior Streaming Engineer will design, build, and scale real-time data streaming platforms for high-throughput, low-latency integrations. Responsibilities include designing and implementing robust streaming pipelines using Kafka, Flink, Debezium, or Confluent; optimizing architectures for performance and fault tolerance; building connectors for vendor data integration; implementing data validation, monitoring, and alerting; troubleshooting data processing issues; documenting streaming architectures; contributing to technical decision-making; collaborating with application teams for seamless integration; and supporting downstream analytics.
