Position Overview

We are seeking a smart, resourceful, and customer-focused Director, Business Operations (New Partnerships) to expand the supply side of our insurance marketplace. This role is responsible for identifying, pitching, and onboarding new insurance carriers, thereby enhancing the value proposition for our customers.

This position is ideal for individuals who excel at navigating challenging partnership opportunities. You will be instrumental in persuading carriers to collaborate with Jerry.ai, developing mutually beneficial partnerships by thinking creatively, collaborating cross-functionally, and presenting compelling narratives and strong viewpoints.

Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative solutions for complex and strategically important business challenges.
  • Engage in both strategic planning and hands-on execution, owning the results of partnership initiatives.
  • Source and close partnerships with insurance carriers to grow the marketplace's supply.
  • Create customized pitches and solutions, particularly for partners who may initially be hesitant.
  • Represent Jerry.ai professionally, clearly, and insightfully in external meetings.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, strategy, or similar roles, preferably in a high-growth startup or consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated success in driving and closing complex, high-value deals.
  • Exceptional drive and intellectual curiosity; a self-starter focused on impact and outcomes.
  • World-class communication and influencing skills, capable of engaging effectively with senior executives.
  • A creative and entrepreneurial mindset with a knack for finding innovative solutions.
  • A strong sense of ownership and urgency, with the ability to thrive in ambiguous situations.
