Requirements

Candidates should possess 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including 5+ years of leading engineering teams across product growth, infrastructure, or platform domains. They should have proven ability to build an engineering culture valuing business impact and velocity, and collaborate with peers and executive leadership. Strong experience in distributed systems, mone```, and a deep understanding of the developer experience, systems performance, and the tradeoffs involved in building for scale and usability are desired.

Responsibilities

As Director of Expansion and Growth Engineering, you will lead the engineering teams responsible for scaling Render’s core product to support key customers and drive monetization through experimentation-led growth. This includes identifying and executing on high impact opportunities for scaling enterprise usage, building new services, improving observability and security tooling, and collaborating with customers and sales to better serve our largest and most strategic accounts. You will also be responsible for building out a critical department and engineering culture as a whole, effectively translating product goals into reliable, efficient systems and fostering an environment of mutual trust and respect.
