Requirements

Candidates should possess at least 2 years of experience in account executive or account management roles, demonstrating a proven track record of closing deals. They should have a strong desire to join a high-growth software startup in a fully remote environment and experience selling developer or technical products, particularly within a product-led growth (PLG) motion. Furthermore, candidates must have experience presenting to senior managers and executives, and the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously while consistently meeting and exceeding quota. Experience utilizing tools like Gong for pipeline management and collaborating with Sales Engineering, support, and customer success teams is also required.

Responsibilities

As a Customer Account Executive, responsibilities include building a credible sales pipeline through engagement with clients for upsells and renewals, owning an upsell and renewal number across existing accounts, educating customers on the value of Tailscale throughout the evaluation and adoption cycle, generating short-term results while maintaining annual pipeline coverage, providing accurate weekly forecasting and revenue delivery, and creating mutual action/success plans with customers to help them evaluate and expand their usage of the Tailscale product.
