Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field, with a focus on technical qualifications. Proven experience in DoD air cargo operations, program and business operations management, and applying Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense/Agency Regulation Supplements to contracts is required. Strong leadership experience managing diverse teams and exceptional presentation/public speaking skills are essential. Excellent Project Management skills are also necessary, with a preference for an active TS/SCI or Secret security clearance, extensive knowledge of IATA standards, prior hazardous materials preparer/inspector experience, experience working with military executive personnel, PMP certification, and familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

The Contract Operations Manager will lead DoD operational assignments, coordinating efforts across engineering, airline operations, and business development teams. Responsibilities include identifying opportunities, customer development, assessing contracting strengths and weaknesses, coordinating actions between Reliable and DoD teams, and maintaining a culture of safety while meeting contract compliance and customer satisfaction. This role involves working with all teams to grow the defense business, including classified programs in defense acquisition.
