Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, with an MBA or advanced technical degree being preferred. A minimum of 15 years of sales leadership experience is required, including at least 7 years specifically focused on Aerospace & Defense customers. Proven success in exceeding multi-million-dollar revenue targets, deep knowledge of defense procurement processes, compliance requirements, and industry regulations such as ITAR and FAR/DFARS are essential. A strong network within prime contractors, system integrators, and government agencies, along with exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, are necessary. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed, and technical environment, and a willingness to travel domestically and internationally, are also required.

Responsibilities

The Senior Director will develop and execute the go-to-market strategy for the Aerospace & Defense segment, building and maintaining executive-level relationships with key customers and partners. Responsibilities include identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to ensure revenue growth, partnering with internal teams to align technology roadmaps with customer needs, and negotiating complex contracts. The role involves leading and developing a sales team to achieve targets, representing Altera at industry events, and providing market insights to inform business strategy.
