Candidates must have a minimum of 7 years of work experience, including at least 3 years in Partner Sales, Business Development, Partnership Management, or Channel Partnerships. Strong discovery and consultative selling skills are essential, along with a proven track record of consistently exceeding targets and quotas. The role requires dedication to tracking and improving performance, strong written and verbal communication and listening skills, a bias for action suitable for a fast-paced startup, and excellent cross-functional collaboration abilities. Prior experience partnering with resellers in a consulting, sales, or partnerships capacity and a background in direct sales are considered advantageous.
The Channel Partner Manager will be responsible for sourcing, qualifying, and conducting deep discovery with net new reseller partners, and subsequently signing partners and creating comprehensive go-to-market plans. This role involves driving revenue for Ramp through generating client referrals from reseller firms and identifying/building relationships with multiple stakeholders within partner organizations. Responsibilities also include educating resellers on Ramp’s offering and value propositions, holding monthly and quarterly business reviews with key partners, and working cross-functionally with marketing, growth, direct sales, product, and engineering teams to drive co-marketing opportunities, onboard new clients, and inform the product roadmap. Becoming an expert in Ramp’s product, features, and workflows is also a key duty.
