Position Overview

Granicus is seeking motivated and ambitious individuals to join our Business Development Team. This role is crucial in identifying potential customers, nurturing partnerships with existing clients, and driving the adoption of modern government technology across the country. As a Business Development Representative, you will play a key part in expanding our reach and supporting the Federal, State, and Local Sales teams. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a successful career in sales within the GovTech sector, with exposure to various roles and experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business through phone and email outreach to educate prospects about the Granicus platform.
  • Conduct initial qualification to understand prospect environments, pain points, and potential projects.
  • Identify key buying influencers within the target market, including their budget and timeline.
  • Follow up on inbound marketing leads and execute strategic outbound communication plans to generate interest and qualify opportunities.
  • Build and cultivate prospect relationships through consistent communication and follow-up to advance opportunities through the sales funnel.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to develop strategic territory plans and grow the sales pipeline to meet quarterly revenue goals.
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM for tracking sales activities and managing contact/lead data.
  • Analyze sales pipeline reports and dashboards.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Work experience and/or internships in sales or marketing, OR a degree in business, communications, or a related field.
  • 1+ year of relevant experience.
