Shipa Delivery is an online platform that makes it easier for businesses to send and receive parcels within the GCC. Our expanding operation connects users with a network of delivery assets and services via mobile apps and online business dashboards. We make collection of packages within one hour a reality, along with a choice of on-demand, same-day, next-day, and cross-border delivery services. Role Summary

You’ll map out Shipa Delivery’s business growth strategy – and make it happen. You’ll identify sales leads, pitch to new clients and keep current clients happy and wanting more. You need to be great at networking, and have a knack for presenting and public speaking. Strong marketing and negotiating skills, and a positive attitude, are required. You’ll be responsible for increasing Shipa Delivery’s revenue as well as building a funnel of potential clients to sustain our growth.

Responsibilities

  • Be the voice and face of Shipa Delivery in the market.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the domestic last-mile delivery and warehousing sectors.
  • Generate and manage business opportunities in cross-border logistics between UAE, KSA and Kuwait.
  • Develop the local and international network of customers and stay on top of requirements.
  • Constantly create revenue generating channels from Cross Selling and Upselling streams to these clients.
  • Manage and grow existing businesses to generate targeted and sustainable revenue (additional regions, additional products).
  • Knit a host of partnerships together to enhance our value proposition.
  • Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations.
  • Manage the optimal sales target that will drive the growth of the business unit and drive to encourage employee morale.
  • Fulfill and achieve annual budget objective through clear and effective hunting and farming strategies.
  • Monitor sales and operation status and other issues and eliminate risk factors through communication.
  • Interact with core functions to plan and prioritize the next product or enhancement.
  • As a core member of the team, you’re going to be very independent and have a pretty loud voice on localization, implementation, and process.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and reports for senior management.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Degree in business management or other related field relevant to the role.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a role that demonstrates business growth.
  • Prior experience in logistics: courier industry, freight and/or warehousing as Business Development/ Sales is a must.

Proficiencies

  • Strong knowledge of the local REGION landscape.
  • Ability to work independently and to set and meet realistic deadlines.
  • An appetite for executing fast-paced work, with lots of iterations.
  • Knowledge of specific customer segments (ecommerce, retail, distribution).
  • Multi-language skills.
