Candidates should possess a degree in business management or a related field, with a minimum of five years of experience demonstrating business growth, and prior experience in logistics, specifically the courier industry, freight, or warehousing, with a focus on business development or sales is required. Strong knowledge of the local region landscape, the ability to work independently, set and meet realistic deadlines, and an appetite for fast-paced work with iterations are also necessary, along with knowledge of specific customer segments such as e-commerce, retail, and distribution, and multi-language skills.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for mapping out Shipa Delivery’s business growth strategy, identifying sales leads, pitching to new clients, and keeping current clients satisfied, as well as developing and managing business opportunities in the domestic last-mile delivery and warehousing sectors and cross-border logistics between UAE, KSA, and Kuwait. They will also be tasked with creating revenue-generating channels through cross-selling and upselling, managing and growing existing businesses to achieve targeted and sustainable revenue, identifying and evaluating potential business opportunities and partnerships, managing sales forecasts and budgets, and preparing reports for senior management, while interacting with core functions to plan and prioritize product enhancements and serving as an independent voice on localization, implementation, and process.
