Position Overview

Arrow Services (AIS), a part of Arrow Electronics, is dedicated to enabling customer business growth by simplifying their technology experience. We support the entire product lifecycle, from design and development through to manufacturing, distribution, and managed services. Our experts architect and deliver solutions, providing customized configuration support for successful implementation.

The Intelligent Solutions Team is expanding, and we are seeking a Business Development Manager based in the UK to drive strategic growth, build strong client relationships, and identify new market opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage current client accounts and drive new business development.
  • Continuously develop relationships between the business area, regional teams, and vendors to ensure trust and support of business objectives.
  • Develop, manage, and create relationships between Arrow Global Services and potential customers.
  • Identify new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products, and services.
  • Develop a sales funnel using SFDC as a CRM tool.
  • Ensure the execution of sales growth plans.
  • Drive results through demand identification and creation opportunities.
  • Plan and oversee new business initiatives.
  • Research organizations and key stakeholders to find new opportunities.
  • Find and develop new markets and improve sales by leveraging Arrow’s Portfolio of services.
  • Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events.
  • Develop quotes and proposals for clients.
  • Develop goals for the development team and business growth, and ensure they are met.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position within customer service, sales, and/or business development within a relevant sector.
  • Proven ability to build and develop strategic business relationships.
  • Experience interacting with high-level stakeholders from large accounts.
  • Strong knowledge of the market and a good understanding of the added value a distributor provides to the channel.
  • Effective communication skills with people at all levels.
