Candidates should be adept at uncovering customer needs, building compelling value propositions, leveraging market insights, and developing/presenting proposals to potential clients. Strong relationship-building skills with executive and C-suite levels, extensive experience networking with transportation decision-makers, and the ability to manage new client proposals from inception to completion are essential. A significant understanding of the transportation industry, including logistics, freight, and supply chain management, is required. Preferred qualifications include 2+ years of dedicated contract services operations or customer service experience, 3+ years selling temperature control/refrigerated dedicated contract services solutions, Salesforce.com experience, and a history of achievement in dedicated contract services sales.

Key responsibilities include understanding and analyzing complex shipment data, designing pricing models, and actively prospecting for new leads through various channels. The director will develop future-oriented sales plans that align with business strategies and identify new business opportunities and partnerships within the transportation sector.
