Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience, including at least 4–5 years in a direct people-leadership role
  • Proven success leading cross-functional commercial teams (Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Strategy)
  • Experience within institutional or hospital-focused pharmaceutical sales is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and motivate high-performing teams to achieve business objectives
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and data-driven decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation abilities
  • Proven track record of driving results in a cross-functional environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership, vision, and direction to the Institutional Sales Team
  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Market Access, Sales Operations, and Medical Affairs to execute aligned commercial strategies
  • Develop and implement sales plans, forecasts, and key performance metrics to drive revenue and market share growth
  • Coach, mentor, and develop Regional Sales Directors and field leadership to build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Leverage data and analytics to assess market dynamics, identify opportunities, and optimize territory alignment and resource deployment
  • Lead institutional customer engagement strategy, including large IDNs, hospitals, and group purchasing organizations (GPOs)
  • Collaborate with HR and Talent Development to build and sustain a high-performing sales organization through targeted recruitment, onboarding, and development programs
  • Serve as a key member of the Institutional leadership team, contributing to broader business strategy and decision-making
