Candidates should possess at least 3-5 years of general software industry experience, with a preference for a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or an equivalent degree/experience in human resources, employee benefits, or healthcare. Experience demonstrating complex application functionality and designing customer-specific software solutions for large enterprise deals is required, along with experience supporting strategic partners and developing relationships. Knowledge of enterprise-level software technology, including server hardware, networking, web applications, electronic data exchange, and service-oriented architectures is also necessary.
The Benefitfocus Sales Solutions Engineer will work in conjunction with the internal Strategic Partners team and strategic partners to drive growth, acting as the lead technical representative during the pre-sales process for strategic partners, establishing demo environments and managing necessary coordination with partners. They will deliver detailed, comprehensive software demonstrations to prospective customers onsite, online, and via telephone, assess the need and develop the technical solutions necessary to support the effective sales enablement of channel partners, and work with product management and engineers to understand Benefitfocus’ product offering and technical architecture. Additionally, they will travel up to 25% in support of partner engagements, assist in the completion of functional and technical responses for RFI/RFP’s, and develop partner capabilities to effectively respond to inquiries.
