Job Description: Account Executive - Government (South Korea & Taiwan)

Planet is seeking a driven Account Executive to grow its Government sales pipeline and book of business in Government Intelligence, Defense, and National Security institutions for South Korea and Taiwan. The ideal candidate possesses a proven track record of selling in government and defense, a strong network, and the ability to navigate complex procurement processes. This role focuses on identifying, qualifying, negotiating, and closing large and medium-sized deals, driving sales revenue targets, and developing a robust sales pipeline. Military experience and a technical understanding of geospatial imagery products are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline to achieve or exceed sales targets and goals.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new sales leads within the Government Intelligence, Defense, and National Security sectors in South Korea and Taiwan.
  • Provide product and sales demonstrations to prospective customers.
  • Formulate appropriate business strategies and proposals.
  • Forecast sales accurately while managing the incoming pipeline of opportunities.
  • Source, sell, and co-sell with other teams to close deals.
  • Understand and navigate government procurement processes and frameworks.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of success in selling to Government and Defense clients.
  • Extensive network within the Government Intelligence, Defense, and National Security sectors.
  • Strong understanding of government procurement processes and frameworks.
  • Ability to forecast sales accurately.
  • Experience with geospatial imagery products or a related technical field is highly desirable.
  • Military experience is a plus.
  • Ability to independently manage sales activities and drive revenue.
  • Comfortable with quota-carrying and closing deals.
