Planet is a space and data company focused on providing imaging satellite data to commercial, environmental, and humanitarian sectors. We are seeking a driven Account Executive to grow our Government sales pipeline and book of business in Government Intelligence, Defense, and National Security institutions for South Korea and Taiwan. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in government and defense sales, a strong network, and the ability to navigate procurement processes. This role is remote-based and based in Singapore, Malaysia, or Australia.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of selling in government and defense sectors.
  • Extensive network within Government Intelligence, Defense, and National Security institutions.
  • Understanding of government procurement processes and frameworks.
  • Technical understanding of geo-spatial imagery products (or a related technical field) – preferred.
  • Military experience – preferred.
  • Ability to accurately forecast and manage a sales pipeline.
  • Familiarity with carrying quota and closing deals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline to achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Identify, qualify, and negotiate large and medium-size deals with prospective government customers.
  • Provide product and sales demonstrations to prospective customers.
  • Formulate appropriate business strategies for government accounts.
  • Source, sell, and co-sell opportunities within the assigned territory (South Korea and Taiwan).
  • Drive sales revenue targets.
