Planet Technologies, a leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, is seeking a motivated Account Executive to join their growing team. This role supports impactful projects and involves partnering with new and existing clients to adopt technological innovations. The ideal candidate will follow a sales process, find innovative solutions for clients, and build strategic relationships within their assigned territory.

Requirements

  • Ability to cross-sell Microsoft Solutions within an existing customer base using traditional and innovative methods.
  • Proven success as a Trusted Advisor, building upon new and pre-existing relationships to deliver innovative Professional Services solutions.
  • Collaborative team player passionate about aligning daily activities, removing obstacles, achieving goals, and building partnerships.
  • Customer success mindset focused on creating innovative solutions.
  • Previous success in roles such as Technical Seller, Customer Success Manager, or Technical Account Manager at a Microsoft-focused organization is ideal.
  • Previous experience working with clients in State and Local Government, Healthcare, Education, or Manufacturing/Defense Industrial sectors is ideal.
  • Proven ability to build upon existing relationships and develop new ones to cross-sell solutions, as well as prospect and manage leads through traditional and more connected methods.
  • Effective and persuasive communication skills in written, verbal, and presentation forms.
  • Knowledge of when and what to escalate regarding challenges.
  • Ability to travel as needed to customer sites and industry events (potentially quarterly).
  • Commitment to clients and a focus on doing what is right for the customer.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver revenue growth by driving professional services, focusing on the integration, delivery, and deployment of Microsoft Technology within the defined target market.
  • Develop new opportunities to create and identify innovative solutions to solve customer challenges.
  • Apply understanding of technical capabilities to help frame solution-oriented projects.
  • Develop, maintain, and grow customer and key partner relationships, including with customers, Microsoft Account teams, and key partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-solution areas to deliver compelling customer-centric presentations and proposals.
  • Partner across the organization in the identification, development, and prompt delivery of SOWs and RFX opportunities.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by managing, escalating, and/or orchestrating sales and delivery success.
  • Enhance client engagement, grow customer revenue, and automate processes.
  • Meet or exceed revenue and core priority targets, executing in accordance with prescribed Planet methods, processes, and tools.
  • Follow an established sales process by accurately managing pipeline and forecast, and prospecting, qualifying, and driving opportunities to close.
