The ability to identify target accounts, formulate strategies for renewals and sales, articulate a vision, understand customer needs through discovery, build long-term relationships, and comprehend business practices, industry trends, and competitors is essential. Experience in renewals with exposure to upsells and cross-sells is also required.
The Account Director will manage a broad territory, handling the entire renewal and sales process from start to finish. This includes defending and selling high-ROI solutions, demonstrating product value propositions, conducting conversational discovery to uncover customer pains and requirements, and partnering with client IT, marketing, and merchandising staff to identify key decision-makers. Responsibilities also include navigating legal aspects of contracts, building and managing an effective pipeline, and proactively communicating with leadership throughout the renewal/sales process.
