Candidates should have Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant experience, with a Bachelor's degree preferred. A minimum of 1-2 years in an administrative or customer-facing role is required, along with 1 year of experience with insurance plans and policies. Experience in a fast-paced clinical setting, proficiency with EHR systems, strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and adaptability are essential. Remote or start-up environment experience and excellent writing skills are a plus. Availability for some weekends, nights, and holidays is also required.
Patient Advocates will provide empathetic, concierge-style service to patients, answering non-clinical questions via messaging and going above and beyond to meet their needs. They will support providers with non-clinical administrative tasks, triage messages efficiently, and assist patients with non-clinical prescription issues by contacting pharmacies. Responsibilities also include providing feedback on workflow and provider responsiveness, piloting new initiatives, and assisting with prior authorizations for weight management patients.
