The role requires an enthusiastic, self-starting individual with good interpersonal skills, a consultative mindset, and a solution-oriented selling method. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Teams, Outlook 365) and experience with systems like Salesforce or SAP are required. A valid driver's license and the ability to pass a background/driving record check are mandatory. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
The Territory Manager is responsible for achieving sales and profitability targets for Unified Steel products within the Central Region (IN, KY, MI, OH, TN). This involves developing and maintaining consultative relationships with distributors, home builders, roofing contractors, and multi-family builders. The role includes expanding market share, developing sales strategies, promoting the brand with distribution partners, and supporting contractor partners through education and training. Responsibilities also encompass interpreting market data, creating territory plans, managing customer relations, participating in trade shows, recommending product and marketing changes, operating within budget limits, handling customer complaints, coordinating with accounting, providing technical advice and product literature, assisting with quotes and installation details, arranging demonstrations, submitting sales reports and forecasts, participating in training, and managing customer database information. Compliance with Westlake safety policies and code of conduct is mandatory. Overnight travel up to 75% is required.
