Candidates must have 2-4 years of equivalent work experience in waste disposal, chemistry, or a related field providing technical expertise. A strong understanding of Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Laws and Regulations, including waste characterization, processing protocols, and transportation (DOT) regulations, is required. Proficiency in computer technology, Microsoft Office, DocuSign, and PDF writer is necessary, along with excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. A commitment to customer service and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.
The Technical Service Advisor will provide high-level technical waste disposal support to sales, operations, and customers, and assist in the development of bid materials. They will coordinate processes with customer service and operations for waste acceptance and disposal, and work with multiple departments to ensure the proper, safe, and legal treatment of hazardous waste. Responsibilities include troubleshooting technical issues, engaging with clients to understand technical requirements and deliver solutions, meeting with clients to discuss waste management, analyzing laboratory results and safety data sheets, and compiling technical data into reports. The role involves investigating hazardous waste regulations, aiding in waste classification, evaluating treatment options, and complying with transportation guidelines. Additionally, they will offer solutions that meet quality and regulatory standards, perform technical evaluations, facilitate interdepartmental communication, maintain customer pricing records, and focus on customer retention and business development.
