Requirements

The ideal candidate is an experienced and visionary people-driven IT engineer with the skills to effectively support rapidly scaling teams in a high-growth environment. They should be capable of contributing to the team wherever necessary as a systems expert and tactician, with a strong understanding of IT matters including access controls, vendor management, and onboarding/offboarding processes. Experience with Okta integration and workflow building is also required.

Responsibilities

The Tech Ops Engineer will manage major proactive strategic activities and respond to reactive day-to-day tactical requests, with the goal of owning aspects of the IT function. Responsibilities include implementing, building, integrating, upgrading, and maintaining enterprise and internal applications, leading teammate onboarding and offboarding, identifying areas for automation and improvement, and reducing human-based error through process streamlining. The role also involves contributing to the Okta environment, designing and implementing role-based access modification processes, and monitoring and reporting on Sourcegraph assets and systems for compliance status.
