At least 5 years of experience in strategic magazine distribution, preferably with focus on pricing and volume control, POS, market development, and budget responsibility
Initial leadership experience or proven project responsibility, and ability to act as an integrative team player
Profound experience in budget planning, economic controlling, and operational management of distribution budgets
Deep understanding of distribution systems, media markets, and consumer behavior in print and multichannel environments
Ability to develop strategies from data (e.g., IVW, sales figures, returns, benchmarks) as actionable drivers
Entrepreneurial, analytical, and brand-conscious mindset with a strong sense for target group relevance and brand-appropriate pricing
Leadership mentality: forward-thinking, setting impulses for economic success
Ability to work independently, in a structured manner, and thrive in an environment combining creative freedom with brand power

Responsibilities
Lead and develop the team in single sales & subscription
Responsible for cross-brand distribution strategy with focus on profit increase, pricing development, budget optimization, and performance-oriented measures
Develop strategic distribution concepts that intelligently combine editorial identity, target group potentials, and market conditions – with focus on single sales, transferable to channels like subscriptions or export
Assume budget responsibility: plan, control, and monitor distribution budgets and forecasts, develop scenarios, and optimize resource use based on economic KPIs
Analyze distribution, IVW, and market data to derive forecasts, pricing models, and business cases for target achievement and revenue scaling
Identify growth levers and efficiency potentials, develop measures to exploit them, and manage implementation down to POS level
Collaborate closely with sales partner MZV
Strategically support special editions, launches, and POS campaigns/cooperations – from positioning to volume calculation
Network internally with editorial, marketing, finance, and production to secure commercial goals across channels
