Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required
8+ years of proven Sr Management experience leading Managers & Supervisors
Distribution operations knowledge & experience
Validated Strategic and Tactical Planning
Continuous improvement, process implementation, succession planning
Proven experience as a people leader
Ability to lead through ambiguity and change
Support a management philosophy of empowering individuals
Demonstrated ability to lead through others
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of MRP & WMS systems
Familiarity with MSDS for relevant products
Understanding of Six Sigma and Lean principles preferred
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, stand for long periods, and work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials
Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)

Responsibilities

Lead the distribution center to achieve annual financial and efficiency goals
Cultivate a culture based on core values: Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement, promoting open communication
Hire, train, develop, and mentor staff to excel in their roles
Partner with senior management to maintain annual budget targets
Manage costs and budgets to meet annual operating targets
Investigate process and product failures, and safety incidents, implementing corrective actions
Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies for productivity and efficiency
Lead a team of salaried and hourly employees to achieve logistics excellence and delight customers
Champion communication within the distribution center and with other departments
Drive achievement of metrics aligned with goals
Handle increased problems and develop tools for team problem-solving
Mentor and coach internal employees, promoting leadership development
Provide opportunities for cross-training and career development
Empower workers to achieve their goals
Promote a safety-first culture, partnering with EH&S to improve safety procedures and metrics
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures
Act as a safety steward by reporting near misses and attending safety trainings
Maintain a safe work environment through continuous safety awareness and compliance with EH&S programs
