Job Description

We're looking for a seasoned operations leader in Denver, Colorado who knows how to scale high-performance fulfillment and shipping operations for a fast-growing DTC brand. If you’ve owned the 3PL relationship, led outbound logistics across DTC and wholesale channels, and rolled up your sleeves to solve last-mile issues, we’d love to meet you.

As a Senior Manager of Fulfillment and Outbound Logistics, you’ll be the internal owner of our order fulfillment and outbound logistics function, guiding daily execution while helping to shape our long-term strategy. You'll serve as the connective tissue between internal teams and our third-party logistics provider, ensuring we deliver a seamless and branded customer experience through every shipment. You’ll lead fulfillment planning, troubleshoot issues in real time, and drive continuous improvement across people, process, and systems.

This is a key leadership role that blends operational rigor with strategic influence. Ideal candidates have experience working for a modern DTC or wholesale apparel or consumer brand, are well-versed in ecommerce fulfillment, and know what great looks like in a high-growth environment.

This is a hybrid role that requires weekly time onsite at TRUEWERK’s headquarters in Denver, Colorado and travel to our 3PL to maintain close alignment and effective execution.

Key Responsibilities

3PL Partnership & Fulfillment Strategy

  • Own and deepen the relationship with our 3PL, holding them accountable to KPIs, SLAs, and overall execution.
  • Lead the daily and long-range strategy for fulfillment operations across both DTC and wholesale channels.
  • Anticipate and prepare for new product drops, seasonal peaks, promotions, and campaign spikes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between internal stakeholders (CX, Planning, Product, Wholesale) and the distribution partner.
  • Build and lead regular business reviews with the 3PL; analyze scorecards, identify gaps, and push for continuous improvement.

Outbound Shipping & Carrier Management

  • Own the outbound shipping strategy and execution - balancing cost, speed, and customer expectations.
  • Manage carrier relationships (FedEx, UPS, DHL, LTL, etc.) either directly or in partnership with the 3PL.
  • Monitor carrier performance metrics such as on-time delivery, claims rate, and customer complaints.
  • Continuously improve shipping methods, service levels, and routing logic to meet evolving business needs.
  • Ensure proper documentation, labeling, and compliance for all outbound shipments (domestic and international).
  • Resolve shipping escalations quickly and collaboratively across CX and Logistics teams.
  • Partner with Planning and channel leadership to forecast outbound volume and align capacity and carrier strategies accordingly.

Leadership & Optimization

  • Drive operational excellence and process innovation across fulfillment and outbound logistics.
  • Ensure operational consistency across our core systems (ERP, WMS, OMS), driving alignment through cycle counts, root cause analysis, and process audits.
  • Support contract negotiations and rate reviews with 3PL and outbound carriers.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in operations leadership, specifically scaling fulfillment and shipping for a DTC brand.
  • Experience managing 3PL relationships and holding them accountable to performance metrics.
  • Expertise in outbound logistics across DTC and wholesale channels.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve last-mile delivery issues.
  • Experience working for a modern DTC or wholesale apparel or consumer brand.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce fulfillment best practices.
  • Ability to blend operational rigor with strategic influence.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant systems (ERP, WMS, OMS).
  • Willingness to work a hybrid schedule with weekly onsite presence in Denver, Colorado and travel to 3PL facilities.
