Requirements

Candidates should possess over 10 years of FSQA leadership experience in food manufacturing, particularly with ready-to-eat meals or similar regulated food categories. Expertise in FDA regulations and SQF is essential, along with a proven ability to build and scale FSQA programs in high-growth, multi-site settings. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills are required, as is a Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field, with a Master's degree being preferred.

Responsibilities

The Senior Director of FSQA will lead the company-wide food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance programs, overseeing all aspects across manufacturing, meal production, supply chain, and product development. This includes developing and implementing FSQA strategies, ensuring compliance with FDA, USDA, SQF, GMP, FISMA, and local health regulations, and overseeing quality systems with KPIs and CAPA programs. The role also involves managing vendor and supplier approval programs, leading the FSQA and sanitation team, partnering with cross-functional teams, and directing crisis and incident management, including root cause analysis and recall plans.
