Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical consulting, solutions consulting, or sales engineering role, ideally within a SaaS company or with applicable industry experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentations and proposals for both business and technical audiences, are essential. Familiarity with aggregating technical discovery information to compose Business Cases (inclusive of ROI) driven by value solving for articulated business pain is required. The ability to speak to technical architecture, understand client infrastructure connections, work with complex business requirements, and transition them into solution designs is necessary. Strategic and analytical skills related to pipeline management, technical success criteria formulation, and achieving a 'Technical Win' are important. The role also requires the ability to build client relationships easily through establishing credibility, possessing natural curiosity, a desire to solve problems, strong team values, and a hunger to win.
The Solutions Consultant will act as the product expert, interfacing directly with sales teams and prospective customers to provide day-to-day product expertise during the sales process. They will prepare and present comprehensive platform demonstrations to large enterprises and conduct deep technical discovery to connect the fleet management software solution to ameliorating current business pain through value. The role involves detecting and creatively solving technical and functional objections from prospective customers. Additionally, they will serve as the market expert on products, competitive landscape, and industry trends across fleet technology solutions, own RFPs/RFIs, and collaborate on the pilot process. The Solutions Consultant will strategize with customer-facing functions to prioritize feedback for Fleetio’s Product Roadmap, increase knowledge of solution architectures within the sales engineering community, and evangelize Fleetio solutions by telling compelling stories with creativity.
