Responsibilities

The Server Virtualization Platform Operations Engineer will be responsible for maintaining enterprise VMware ESX-based IaaS infrastructure, automating operational tasks, ensuring high availability for critical workloads, and supporting Lilly Manufacturing and research sites in multi-datacenter stretch clusters. This role will involve working with critical infrastructure components, implementing solutions to improve availability and reliability, providing mentorship and direction to global Lilly operations SMEs, and driving Infrastructure Operations towards repeatable patterns and robust observability through AI OPS and automation.
