Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5 years in the industry. Applicants must be US Citizens or hold dual US/Canadian citizenship. Required experience includes AWS CDK, EC2, Docker, TCP Networking, GitLab, CodeCommit, CodeDeploy, Cloudwatch, Security Scanning and automation, Postgres/RDS/Aurora, Amazon OpenStack, FedRAMP/NIST-800, GovCloud deployment and operations, FIPS-140-2, NodeJS/TypeScript, supporting GraphQL applications, Bash, and Infrastructure as Code. The ability to learn NodeJS, TypeScript, and Rust is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Lead Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for the continuous improvement and operation of the company's FedRAMP-high compliant infrastructure, primarily within AWS GovCloud. This role involves coaching, guiding, and mentoring a team of DevOps Infrastructure Engineers. The engineer will play an integral role in rolling out infrastructure improvements, advocating for best practices, and making optimal design decisions. Key focus areas include security, automation, and observability, with a significant impact on shaping the company's infrastructure practices. Additionally, the role includes improving and maintaining the developer team's infrastructure tooling to ensure seamless testing and deployments, and supporting automation efforts through coding skills.
