Requirements

Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of data engineering experience and at least 2 years of hands-on experience with core technologies, including dynamic SQL and SQL Server Service Broker. A strong understanding of web scalability challenges and solutions, excellent communication and teamwork skills, and an interest in applying AI tools and prompt engineering in development workflows are also required. Analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential. Preferred qualifications include 5+ years of RDBMS experience, experience with SQL Server, data warehousing, political software or campaign technology, familiarity with AI development tools like ChatGPT or Cursor, and hands-on experience with Azure, Redis, ElasticSearch, and AWS cloud services.

Responsibilities

The Database Engineer will design and implement features for voter and donor management systems, write and debug stored procedures and complex queries, and design schemas and tweak indexes for high-performance systems. Responsibilities also include coordinating releases, planning data migrations, contributing to AI-powered features and product enhancements, collaborating with product management and cross-functional engineering teams, and ensuring solutions meet performance, security, and scalability standards.
