• Location: Globally distributed, with a preference for candidates in the Eastern Time Zone.

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our pre-sales organization, with significant responsibility and growth potential. You will gain unparalleled insight into how world-class organizations and developers build software at scale, placing you at the center of this critical process.

Within one month, you will:

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of our products, value propositions, customer base, team, and processes.
• Set up and configure your own sandbox instance.
• Begin building strong, trusting relationships with your peers in Sales, Value Engineering, and Post-sales Customer Success and Support.
• Participate in customer and prospect calls with key accounts to understand their needs, how we communicate Sourcegraph's value, and the positive impact we deliver.
• Achieve demo certification.

Within three months, you will:

• Take increasing ownership of prospective customer relationships, partnering with up to three Account Executives (AEs).
• Lead initial conversations with prospective customers, diving deep into their technical requirements for success.
• Act as a customer advocate by relaying crucial insights and feedback to internal teams.
• Leverage your experience and observations to contribute internally by proposing and delivering solutions.
• Participate in Solutions Engineer-led projects to enhance our capabilities, expand our internal and external footprint, and positively impact our business and customers.

Within six months, you will:

• Establish yourself as a thought leader and evangelist by teaching prospective customers new and better ways to leverage Sourcegraph.
• Mentor, recruit, and train teammates, prospects, and new hires.

About You

You are an enthusiastic, proactive, driven, and results-oriented Solutions Engineer who aligns with our values and is passionate about helping prospective customers experience the "aha!" moment with Sourcegraph.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Possesses at least 5 years of experience in a relevant role, such as Sales Engineering or Solutions Engineering, with a technical product.
• Has experience selling Enterprise software solutions and understands the intricacies of the Enterprise sales process.
• Demonstrates innate curiosity to uncover the root causes of customer problems and understand their motivations.
• Is excited about being directly involved in the technical aspects of customer engagement.
