Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join our fast-growing team, bringing a fresh and disruptive approach to information security.

As the technical expert, you will partner directly with Account Executives and Channel Partners to prospect and sell into specific accounts. You will understand prospects' business problems, technical architecture, and attack surface to design the right solution. You will also collaborate with product and engineering teams to influence the product roadmap and become an evangelist for the power of hackers and HackerOne.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the sales team to provide technical and domain expertise for specific opportunities.
  • Develop account strategies and uncover additional business opportunities.
  • Develop and deliver tailored demonstrations of the HackerOne platform to customers.
  • Own the technology evaluation stage of the sales process.
  • Develop documentation and workflows specific to customer implementation plans.
  • Lead tailored product workshops and deep dives in key accounts.
  • Analyze feature requests and provide feedback to engineering and product management teams.
  • Provide technical perspective on active deals and assist with accurate forecasting.
  • Support marketing efforts by evangelizing HackerOne at trade shows, conferences, and webinars.
  • Stay current with industry news and developments to maintain deep industry and domain expertise.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of pre-sales experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with Enterprise customers.
  • 2+ years of security experience in a Software as a Service (SaaS) product.
  • Understanding of security fundamentals and common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top Ten).
  • Ability to scope a penetration test and price a bounty reward.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and demonstration skills.
  • Ability to articulate both business value and technical advantages of the platform.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment.

Location & Work Approach

This position is based in Singapore and is primarily remote, supporting HackerOne's Flexible Work approach. While the role is remote, periodic in-person interactions may be required to support team collaboration and foster stronger connections.
