Candidates should have 5+ years of industry experience in Partnership/Alliances Technical Pre-sales, with a preference for experience within the Americas VAR community. Strong business acumen in growing a business, channel, or partnership is essential, along with a deep understanding of the broader platform ecosystem, products, and competition. Hands-on expertise in developing and deploying PySpark or Scala and SQL for ELT/data pipelines, along with experience in Spark, Kafka, Apache NiFI, database technologies, and DevOps/CI/CD processes is required. Proficiency with major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud), Big Data or Cloud integration technologies, and AI/ML concepts is highly desirable. Strong CS fundamentals, fluency in multiple programming languages (Python, Scala, Java), knowledge of database internals, and experience working with cross-functional teams are also beneficial. A BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related major is required. The ability to travel up to 25% and adherence to confidentiality and security standards are expected.
The Senior Partner Solution Engineer will work with Value Added Reseller (VAR) partners to grow profitable revenue streams and accelerate business growth. Responsibilities include providing technical strategies to Solution Providers/Practice Leads to enable them to sell offerings on Snowflake, and influencing where Snowflake products can have the most impact based on VAR partner revenue models and industry priorities. The role involves developing and launching joint differentiated solution offerings with VAR partners, engaging in technical presentations to C-level executives, and staying current with the latest Spark updates and best practices. Additionally, the engineer will provide technical product and deep architectural expertise, conduct upskilling/workshops with the Partner Solution Architect community, and help shape and deliver cross-functional strategies in collaboration with the Partner Sales Director.
