Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Several years of professional experience in consulting, corporate strategy, strategic planning, business development, or new ventures, ideally within the automotive or battery industry
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale transformation projects (e.g., M&A) and structure complex challenges into fact-based recommendations
  • Strong ability to constructively engage senior management in brainstorming and evaluating growth ideas, both formally and informally
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining effective relationships with senior customers, consultants, and industry stakeholders
  • Ability to influence and facilitate activities in global environments
  • Experience in working in both direct and matrix management environments
  • Proven ability to optimize core businesses while driving growth strategies
  • Collaborative mindset with success in participative management environments
  • Strong and inspiring team player with the ability to motivate, engage, and energize colleagues
  • Excellent business judgment, high professional standards, and a strong presence with the ability to challenge established thinking constructively
  • High credibility with internal and external stakeholders, instilling confidence and trust
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken; additional European languages are a plus
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%

Responsibilities

  • Assessing and prioritizing key markets, customers, competitive and technology dynamics, and cost drivers impacting Clarios
  • Evaluating requirements and business models to establish critical success factors and drive growth, including joint ventures and M&A opportunities
  • Determining Clarios’ positioning, gaps, and requirements against these factors
  • Developing actionable strategies and tactics to drive growth
  • Structuring issues and frameworks for senior leaders, parent-company representatives, and/or Board members
  • Driving the yearly update of the EMEA multi-year strategic plan in close alignment with the global organization
  • Collaborating with Finance and other stakeholders to improve process quality, cadence, and results (e.g., sales, CAPEX)
  • Synthesizing the plan for senior leadership and deriving strategic actions in the Strategic Plan or EMEA Incubator
  • Preparing regular Strategy Deployment meetings with regional Top Management
  • Tracking progress and impact of strategic initiatives
  • Leading selected cross-functional projects and initiatives within the EMEA Strategic Plan and Incubator
  • Identifying new strategic opportunities and cost-saving measures
