Requirements

Candidates must have a strong technical depth and strategic leadership experience to mature and scale technical program management practices. A proven track record of overseeing and ensuring the delivery of critical cross-functional programs with visibility into the full technical portfolio is essential. Experience evaluating, implementing, and enhancing project management best practices, coaching and developing TPM teams, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement are required. Technical fluency to inform decisions, anticipate risks, and act as a trusted thought partner is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Senior Director of Technical Program Management will provide strategic direction across the technical program portfolio, ensuring alignment with company goals and visibility for leadership. They will lead cross-functional programs to strengthen system reliability, scalability, and production readiness, and provide oversight for the technical project and program portfolio to drive successful execution. Responsibilities include determining and implementing technical project management best practices, streamlining processes, accelerating execution, managing OKRs, ensuring on-time releases, and improving tooling efficiencies. The role involves owning and improving the efficiency and consistency of technical delivery, identifying and addressing systemic inefficiencies with data-driven solutions, and driving company-wide planning, cross-team alignment, and delivery health reporting. Additionally, the Senior Director will partner with Product, Engineering, and business leadership to define and deliver strategic technical programs, ensure visibility and accountability through communication of goals, milestones, timelines, and metrics, and lead all aspects of program execution including prioritization, team mobilization, progress tracking, resource planning, and risk remediation. They will also scale processes and tools to support larger teams and increasing complexity.
