Requirements

The VP of Technical Services should have 7+ years of experience leading or building Professional Services, Technical Services, or similar functions at a technical B2B company, and have successfully taken a technical post-sales function from 0 to 1, and know what it takes to evolve from 1 to scale. Deep expertise in the database space, understanding how developers buy, build, and run database systems, and guiding them to success is required. Fluency in English is also required.

Responsibilities

As the VP of Technical Services, the individual will be responsible for defining and operationalizing the end-to-end customer journey across Technical Support, Solutions Architecture, and Implementation Engineering, breaking down silos between SA, IE, CS, and Support, building a unified team and shared sense of ownership. They will enhance technical deal qualification, deliver impactful demos, and ensure customer success before the sale closes. The role involves partnering closely with Engineering and Product to reduce escalations, improve issue triage, and empower frontline technical teams. Additionally, the individual will develop knowledge sharing systems, training programs, and tooling, identify points of friction and customer drop-off, and build repeatable playbooks and scalable service delivery models. Finally, they will act as a strategic leader and tactical executor, from setting vision to solving live customer issues, and obsess over the customer journey to continuously improve it.
