Requirements

Candidates should possess over 10 years of technical program management experience, with a strong background in security-focused initiatives. They must demonstrate technical depth in the Security domain, excel at tackling loosely defined problems, and be capable of analyzing and synthesizing requirements with limited information. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of execution, follow-through, and ownership, effectively keeping programs on course and recommending course corrections. Excellent communication skills, including presenting to senior leaders and navigating trade-offs, are essential. A profound respect for user privacy and information security is also required.

Responsibilities

The Staff Technical Program Manager will lead high-impact, complex, and ambiguous security-focused programs. They will identify systemic challenges and design simple, scalable, and resilient processes and solutions. Responsibilities include leading organizational improvements in program execution, influencing tooling, planning cadences, and cross-team alignment. The role involves building a deep understanding of 1Password’s technical stack to facilitate technical conversations and defining and delivering roadmaps in partnership with Security and Engineering, including planning and scoping.
