Requirements

Candidates should have proven experience in data modeling and warehouse design, deep expertise with dbt and modern ELT patterns, and strong SQL skills with programming experience in Python, Go, or Kotlin. Experience with containerized deployments, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, AWS services relevant to data engineering, and modern data lake/lakehouse architectures is required. Knowledge of developing within BI tools such as Looker, including LookML, along with strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, are essential.

Responsibilities

The Senior Data Engineer will design and implement scalable data models and pipelines using industry-standard techniques, build and optimize ELT workflows leveraging dbt and cloud-based ETL/ELT platforms, and develop orchestration workflows using tools like Airflow or Dagster. They will write efficient SQL, develop in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Kotlin, and implement DevOps practices including containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code. Responsibilities also include working with AWS services and data lake/lakehouse frameworks, integrating with and optimizing cloud data warehouse solutions, and developing and maintaining integrations with BI tools such as Looker. The role involves collaborating closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, delivering solutions that meet business needs, operating autonomously, and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
