Solid experience with modern data tools and platforms, including Snowflake, Fivetran, and Dagster, is required. Proficiency with database technologies such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB, along with experience in AWS cloud services like s3, RDS, and DMS, is necessary. Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Pulumi), container orchestration tools like Kubernetes, data modeling, schema design, basic database optimization, DBT, and observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus is also expected.
The Senior Data Engineer will implement scalable and reliable data pipelines using tools like Fivetran and Dagster, and work with data warehouses, focusing on Snowflake. Responsibilities include building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines, designing and maintaining data models across various database technologies, and developing data models to support business intelligence and analytics needs. The role involves implementing cloud-native solutions in AWS, learning Infrastructure-as-Code practices, and deploying/managing data services in Kubernetes environments. Additionally, the engineer will monitor data workflows and system health using observability platforms, participate in logging, alerting, and dashboard maintenance, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
