Requirements

Candidates must be based in Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, or Wisconsin. A minimum of 4 years of industrial experience in data engineering with an advanced degree, or 5+ years with an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Demonstrated expertise in data warehouse technologies such as Snowflake, strong skills in Python/PySpark and SQL, and experience in other modern object-oriented languages like C#, C++, Go, Java, or Scala are essential. Mastery of data modeling concepts and database design principles, hands-on experience with leading ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, DBT, Looker, Superset), in-depth experience with the entire data lifecycle, and significant contributions to the development, implementation, and production release of multiple data processing solutions utilizing distributed systems are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Senior Data Engineer will design and implement scalable, performant data models to provide rapid insights into drug price drivers and cost-saving opportunities. They will develop and optimize processes to enhance the correctness and usability of third-party data, and implement data quality principles to improve the reliability of data shared internally and externally. Responsibilities also include implementing and enforcing data governance policies for PII/PHI protection, security, and compliance, and applying AI best practices to document data engineering processes and data models. Additionally, the role involves acting as a role model and mentor to junior team members by providing technical guidance and support.
