Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Business or Marketing preferred) or 3+ years of sales experience preferred
  • 1+ years Insurance experience preferred
  • Bilingual a plus
  • Working knowledge of insurance operations

Responsibilities

  • Work under the guidance and direction of sales leadership to develop, organize, and execute a plan to profitably grow the assigned territory to meet/exceed premium and policy plans through communication with sales and product leadership, prospecting new opportunities, agency appointments, personal visits to existing agencies, and other field sales activities
  • Collect, organize, and disseminate market intelligence and trends (including industry trends, competitor changes, observations, feedback on existing products and services, and analysis on market opportunities) to State, Region, and Executive leadership via weekly and/or monthly updates, collaborating with peers in sales, State Product Managers, Claims, Agency Support and Licensing, Marketing, and Customer Service/Underwriting
  • Spend primary time in the field engaging face-to-face with agencies and partners, planning visits in advance with specific topics and action items, evaluating territory data in collaboration with sales leader to focus on high-opportunity agencies, with possible frequent and extensive travel outside the assigned territory
  • Train agents on company underwriting guidelines, procedures, programs, websites, and rating tools in one-on-one, small group, or large audience settings, establishing strong rapport, and being inspiring, engaging, outgoing, and credible
  • Maintain up-to-date records of field activity, agency intel, changes in agency personnel or contact information, strategy, new appointment paperwork, and other critical items, ensuring organization and timely delivery of required paperwork, reports, and documentation
  • Participate in insurance association conventions, seminars, trade shows, and various other agency-related functions
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by leadership
