Requirements

Candidates must have 4+ years of experience in a technical Sales Engineering or similar role, with strong knowledge of Cloud/SaaS technologies, Active Directory environments, and network architecture. A solid understanding of industry-standard authentication and authorization protocols such as SAML, OIDC/OAuth, LDAP, and RADIUS is required, along with familiarity with MDM, RMM, or similar endpoint solutions and MFA technologies like TOTP and WebAuthn. Experience configuring and deploying identity and/or directory solutions, direct and channel/partner sales cycles, and the MEDDIC Sales Methodology is necessary. Proficiency in scripting languages, preferably PowerShell, is also required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential, along with the ability to make complex concepts simple, speak comfortably with technical evaluators and IT leaders, and present publicly. Additional professional language skills are desired. Candidates must be located in and authorized to work in England.

Responsibilities

The Sales Engineer will act as a technical trusted advisor, providing consultative support to organizations evaluating the JumpCloud platform through tailored product demonstrations. They will uncover customer pain points and challenges, aligning JumpCloud solutions accordingly, and support direct and partner sales teams with product-related questions and skill development. Responsibilities include building relationships with partners through technical enablement and co-selling, assisting prospects with trial setup and configuration, and providing technical Q&A. The role involves assessing prospect readiness for a formal sales cycle, advising on implementation best practices for quick customer time to value, and identifying common technical issues for product development or automation. They will also provide an evaluation framework for prospects to follow during their POC.
