Role

The objective of this role at Yugabyte is to work closely with the EMEA Sales Team to develop and execute both inbound and outbound lead generation campaigns from ideation through to qualified calls with prospects. Applicants should be effective at researching target accounts, identifying people in relevant personas, generating interest and developing accounts to stimulate opportunity. The successful applicant will also efficiently follow up on sales inquiries from inbound emails, phone calls, events, and other sources, maintain good activity and ensure that customer information and activity is tracked and documented in the CRM.

Our initial contact with future customers can occur in many ways and via many different roles, which means working with several stakeholders and teams within the customer organization, including: senior management, project management, infrastructure, dbas, and application development - each will have their own specific areas of concern and interest.

This means you will need the ability to articulate the YugabyteDB value proposition in multiple forms, highlighting the benefits for each team, and understanding the technical language they use and the ecosystem in which they operate.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop a list of target prospects and coordinate sales efforts.
  • Identify potential leads, learn about their business challenges, and engage with them to understand their needs.
  • Create demand using cold calls, emails, networking, and social selling to create a pipeline of warm leads.
  • Use demand response (warm calling), demand management (managed follow up process) to nurture leads and effectively communicate the Yugabyte value proposition to secure sales meetings.
  • Prepare clear, comprehensive account opportunity information for booked meetings.
  • Continue to engage with the prospect during the early stages of the sales cycle to learn and improve your business development effectiveness.
  • Use data analysis and research to assess the effectiveness of and improve campaigns.
  • Accurately maintain customer information, contact and activity records.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and conversation skills are a must.
  • Bachelor’s degree with experience in tech sales experience preferred.
  • Experience in outbound calling and engaging with disruptive technology based messaging.
  • Ability to make a high volume of outbound calls and communicate well with Tech Architects and CTO executives.
  • Have a good familiarity with technology and industry trends, especially in cloud native and data solution selling.

  • Knowledge of the Enterprise Data Management.
