Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing, revenue cycle management, or healthcare operations. Direct experience working with Candid for RCM is strongly preferred, and in-depth knowledge of medical coding, billing, and reimbursement regulations and guidelines is required, with added bonus if experience in behavioral health is present. Strong managerial skills and a proven track record of leading and growing a billing and revenue cycle team are essential, alongside excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, including proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel.
As the Revenue Cycle Manager, you will oversee the full revenue cycle, including verification of benefits, claim submission, claims queue and denial management, payment posting, resolving balances, patient queries, and AR. You will develop, document, and scale standardized billing and revenue cycle workflows and procedures, adapting these as the organization grows. You will partner with the product and engineering teams to scope, build, and implement new technology solutions for the internal billing system, Flock, manage and grow the in-house billing team, and bring on outside vendors when necessary to streamline the revenue cycle process. Additionally, you will analyze key revenue cycle metrics and KPIs, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions, collaborate with clinical and operations teams to ensure accurate and compliant documentation, coding, and billing, and collaborate with the network access team to ensure all contracts, fee schedules, enrollments, and automated rulesets are reflected correctly in Candid. Finally, you will serve as a point of contact for payers, auditors, and other external stakeholders as needed and prepare detailed reports on revenue cycle performance to leadership.
