Position Overview

iRhythm is seeking an experienced Revenue Cycle Services Vendor Manager to report to the Senior Manager of RCS Optimization. This role is crucial for managing one or more outsourced billing and patient hub vendors, ensuring their adherence to performance targets and contractual obligations. The position operates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on improving healthcare quality and patient experience through innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Vendor Relationship Management:
    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors.
    • Act as the primary liaison between vendors and iRhythm cross-functional teams (Finance, Legal, Payer Relations, IT).
    • Serve as the point of accountability for escalating and resolving vendor-related issues.
  • Performance Management:
    • Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and clear performance targets in partnership with RCM staff.
    • Analyze vendor performance data to monitor adherence to targets.
    • Monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) against contract terms.
    • Maintain and report on vendor operational metrics (delivery, reliability, quality, accuracy of estimates and invoices).
  • Process Improvement & Integration:
    • Onboard and integrate new vendors into existing processes and relationships.
    • Identify opportunities for improvement with current vendors and implement process improvement projects.
    • Identify risks of critical issues and contractual failures, proposing interventions.
  • Vendor Selection & Contracting:
    • Participate in vendor selection, including developing key selection criteria.
    • Provide feedback to Senior Management and Legal during the contracting process and for renegotiations.
  • Strategic Alignment & Communication:
    • Maintain knowledge of specialized product/service offerings and sourcing strategies aligned with business goals.
    • Create and maintain invoicing and budgeting in collaboration with the vendor coordinator.
    • Communicate iRhythm's needs, expectations, and performance standards to vendors.
    • Inform vendors of organizational developments affecting systems, configurations, or operating platforms.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Vendor Manager.
  • Knowledge of Revenue Cycle Front End (Patient Access) and/or Revenue Cycle Back End (Billing and Collections).
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively resolve vendor disputes through mediation, achieving win-win outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills for monitoring and reviewing vendor financial and operational performance.
  • Ability to quickly and accurately assess vendor proposals and contractual details.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex topics simply to senior leadership and interact effectively with partners, patients, customers, and vendors.
  • Strong relationship and interpersonal skills for managing vendor relationships throughout the contract lifecycle, both physically and virtually.
  • High attention to detail with proven time management and organizational skills.
