The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of Revenue Cycle Front End (Patient Access) and/or Revenue Cycle Back End (Billing and Collections). They must demonstrate an ability to effectively resolve vendor disputes through mediation, possess strong analytical skills for monitoring vendor performance, and have a proven ability to assess vendor proposals and contractual details accurately. Excellent communication skills for interacting with partners, patients, customers, and vendors, along with the ability to simplify complex topics for senior leadership, are essential. Strong relationship and interpersonal skills are required for managing vendors throughout the contract lifecycle, and meticulous attention to detail with strong time management and organizational skills is necessary.
The Revenue Cycle Vendor Manager will serve as the primary point of vendor management for outsourced billing and patient hub vendors, developing effective relationships and acting as a liaison between vendors and internal departments. This role involves escalating and arbitrating vendor-related issues, developing key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance targets, and analyzing vendor performance data to ensure adherence to targets. Responsibilities include onboarding new vendors, identifying opportunities for process improvement with current vendors, and proposing interventions for critical issues or contractual failures. The manager will maintain and report on vendor operational metrics, participate in vendor selection, provide feedback during contracting and renegotiations, and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) against contract terms. They will also maintain knowledge of specialized offerings and sourcing strategies, create and maintain invoicing and budgeting, communicate needs and expectations to vendors, and inform vendors of organizational developments that may impact systems.
