Candidates must have a minimum of one year of experience in a customer service environment and proficiency in data entry. Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word, is required. A high school diploma or GED is necessary. Preferred qualifications include home infusion or durable medical equipment (DME) experience, call center experience, and prior healthcare environment work.
The Patient Care Representative will process monthly patient refill requests for the Enteral Nutrition department, ensuring accurate documentation before shipping orders. They will also process new patient orders, update electronic medical records, and collaborate with the patient admissions department. Key duties include answering incoming calls from patients, caregivers, and referral sources regarding order status, processing prescription changes, triaging calls to appropriate departments, and verifying patient demographics and insurance information.
