Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in life science, biology, business, or marketing, with an MBA being preferred. A proven track record of at least 3 years in direct account management within molecular diagnostics, ideally with a focus on MRD testing, is required. Experience generating revenue in diagnostic, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology companies, along with experience working with major cancer centers, oncology GPOs, large health systems, and oncology practices, is essential. The role also requires a proven ability to sell integrated molecular diagnostic solutions and engage in consultative selling, comfort in interacting with executive-level stakeholders, and an in-depth understanding of the payer and reimbursement environment in oncology diagnostics. Strong independent work ethic, communication, project management, prioritization skills, knowledge of molecular diagnostics, MRD testing, and the oncology competitive landscape, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com, and the ability to develop cross-functional relationships are also necessary. Advanced presentation skills, business acumen, and the ability to work effectively with minimal direction are required.

Responsibilities

The MRD Clinical Account Executive will be responsible for driving the adoption of Tempus's MRD testing services within their territory, engaging with Key Opinion Leaders and decision-makers to expand business opportunities. This includes developing strategic plans for client acquisition and retention, maximizing client-bill contracting, and implementing laboratory services agreements. The role involves collaborating with other sales roles to achieve company goals, identifying partnership opportunities, and providing market feedback to leadership. A comprehensive business plan for the territory, including budgets and travel, must be developed and implemented. The representative will also uphold Tempus's company culture with integrity, respect, and trust.
