Position Overview

Vannevar Labs is seeking a Mission Success Lead to execute deployments and deliver exceptional technology outcomes for our defense and national security partners. This role is embedded within our pioneering Sensing Business Unit, focusing on hardware technology. Key objectives for the year include launching foothold pilots, converting these pilots into larger projects, and integrating these projects into existing programs or creating new ones within the national security domain.

We are looking for an individual with a proven track record in deploying new defense products, particularly those targeting the RF/EW mission with the Department of Defense. Ideal candidates will possess domain expertise in RF/Sensing technology, user experience within mission environments, intelligence domain knowledge, or prior military service. You should have a deep understanding of our partners' needs and challenges, derived from direct experience. A motivated problem-solver who takes ownership, acts with urgency, and thrives in ambiguous environments is essential.

Responsibilities

As a Mission Success Lead, you will be responsible for executing the delivery strategy for current deployments and new footholds, aiming to achieve transformative mission outcomes.

  • Own Delivery: Manage the delivery of capabilities within contracted Periods of Performance (POPs), whether for 6-month pilots, 12-month engagements, or multi-year programs of record.
  • Exceed Expectations: Go above and beyond to surpass customer expectations, making continued partnership with Vannevar an obvious choice.
  • Understand User Needs: Develop a deep understanding of user mission sets and pain points to address their challenges effectively using Vannevar's capabilities.
  • On-Site Engagement: Be present where the users are to gain firsthand insights into how Vannevar can provide maximum value.
  • Inform Product Development: Act as the "eyes and ears" for the product and engineering teams, translating on-the-ground realities and user feedback into actionable insights for developing disruptive capabilities.
  • Resource Management: Direct resources as needed, including onsite personnel, product managers, engineers, and other mission staff, influencing cross-functional teams to align resources with customer objectives.

Requirements

  • Domain Expertise: Background in RF analysis within a government context is a significant plus, demonstrating an understanding of partner needs and challenges.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: A motivated problem solver who takes ownership, acts with urgency, and is comfortable with ambiguity. You must be resilient and persistent in the face of challenges.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Previous experience managing customer renewal and expansion cycles.
  • Citizenship: U.S. Person status is required due to the need to access U.S.-only data systems.
  • Security Clearance: Must possess an active Top Secret Security Clearance or have held one previously. Eligibility for an SCI nomination is also required.
