Requirements

  • At least a bachelor’s degree in business management, Marketing, Psychology, Advertising, Communications, Social Science, or Statistics. A master’s degree in science or business administration highly preferred
  • Minimum 6-9 (Associate Manager)/ 10-14 (Manager) years of solid quantitative & qualitative experience from research agencies and/or client companies. Client-side insights experience and stakeholders’ management highly preferred
  • Comprehensive experience in regional/ multi-country research project management
  • Hands-on experience in statistical modeling & advanced analytics
  • Confident in presenting research results to senior executives in English
  • Experience in conducting/ facilitating strategy development workshops for senior executives highly preferred
  • Good understanding of different methodologies, advanced analytics approaches as well as research types (e.g. branding, feasibility studies, pricing & concept tests etc.)
  • Well versed in media / entertainment/ digital industries highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support the needs for research & insights of the local marketing, streaming & studio teams and manage all related primary & secondary research projects
  • Manage external databases and draw insights/ prepare dashboards for regular reporting & for ad hoc analysis as and when required
  • Manage all phases of the research projects, including but not limited to: take brief, design & develop project plans and brief research agencies; monitor fieldwork, provide progress updates and work closely with agencies to execute projects as well as to resolve any logistical issues; review deliverables (including questionnaires, survey links, discussion guides, tabulations and reports etc.) from research agencies and work closely with them to make sure all deliverables meet the project objectives and requirements; handle all administrative related tasks for the research projects (e.g. vendor application, contracts & invoices etc.)
  • Analyze and interpret quantitative and qualitative research findings to provide insightful takeaways via compelling storytelling, supported with actionable points of view (as opposed to data dump) to inform business decisions
  • Present research findings to executive teams/ lines of business and be able to clearly articulate & explain the implications for our business
  • Work closely with the global research team on research projects and provide on-the-ground support in project implementation
  • Collect secondary data from various sources to support business and strategy planning as and when required
  • Handle regional & local research (primary & secondary) that spans Greater China, including leveraging external databases to identify market trends & to prepare dashboards, aimed at helping the company and its various lines of business to achieve their business objectives, and providing insights into consumer behavior across a wide spectrum, from general lifestyle to spending to theatrical & digital media consumption etc
  • Support research work across North Asia and/or Southeast Asia as and when needed
