Position Overview

RingCentral is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our Majors Sales team. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, cutting-edge, technology-driven environment. You will be responsible for proactively managing a portfolio of RingCentral's premier installed public sector customers, focusing on cultivating and saturating business within these accounts. Your primary goal will be to uncover and capitalize on upsell opportunities while providing a high level of customer service, leveraging your B2B solution selling skills to grow your book of business and expand the RingCentral footprint.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage a list of premier installed public sector customers.
  • Cultivate and saturate business within assigned accounts.
  • Uncover and capitalize on upsell opportunities.
  • Provide a high level of customer service.
  • Leverage B2B solution selling skills to grow your book of business.
  • Expand the RingCentral footprint within customer accounts.
  • Become an expert on the RingCentral Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) Platform, including hosted VoIP, Contact Center, Mobile Applications, and IP hardware.
  • Develop a strong understanding of customer business priorities, systems, and public sector-specific use cases.
  • Utilize sales methodologies and processes to clearly exhibit the advantages of partnering with RingCentral.
  • Act as an innovator to help drive the communication message within multiple sub-verticals.

Requirements

  • Experience selling to state and local government, K-12, and higher education.
  • Ability to navigate complex procurement rules and long sales cycles.
  • 2-3 years of B2B upmarket sales experience, preferably in the technology sector.
  • Demonstrated sales record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas.
  • Proven track record of success targeting state and local government, K-12, and higher education.
  • Success in maintaining an existing customer base, cultivating new business, and upselling services/products.
  • Ability to explore customer needs and make recommendations based on their priorities.
  • Excellent customer service orientation, both face-to-face and virtually (phone/video conferencing).
  • Strong initiative and creativity applied through technology.
  • Vibrant and energetic attitude, willingness to perform and get things done.
